Additional Users


­­A Techloq ‘user’ is essentially a profile of filter settings in your account.  

You have the option to have the same user/profile applied to all the devices under your account or alternatively, to create and customize additional users and have them applied to different devices or even to specific Windows users. 

A free user is added to your account with each additional filtering plan subscription that is purchased so that you have the ability to apply different filtering settings to each of your devices.   

You also have the option to add extra users to your account for a minimal additional charge.  

Here are some reasons why you may want extra users in your account: 

1.
Windows user mapping. You have the option to have specific users linked with specific Windows users.
Purpose - This means that different Windows users on your device can have different filter settings.
Already available - You are already able to apply any of the already existing users in your account to a specific Windows user.
Do I need an extra user? - If you would like to apply a new profile of filtering settings which is not already set up or in your account, you would be looking to add another user to your account. 

2. User log in/out on the Techloq extension
Purpose - You can have a device linked to a specific user but on the same device be able to log in to a different user to allow you to browse the internet with a different set of filter settings.
Already available - You are already able to log into any of the already existing users in your account as long as you have the username and password created during the user setup. Please
get in contact with our support team if you do not have this information.
Please note: The ability to log in to a user may need to be enabled in your account even if the user is already set up and available. If you are unable to log in to your user, contact us to ensure that the feature has been enabled.
Do I need an extra user? - If you would like to be able to log in to, and use another profile of filtering settings which are not already set up or available in your account, you will be looking to add an additional user to your account.

Important: You may have available users in your account and do not have to purchase an additional one. This would be the case if you have a greater number of Filtering subscriptions than existing users. Click here if you have an available user and would like to find out how to customize its settings and use it for one of the above-mentioned purposes.  

You can check how many existing users are in your account by
logging into your account and locating the filtering plan under the subscriptions plan. This figure will include both available and unavailable users - those which are in use and those which have yet to be set up.
